Subject:-Purchase of Works (Construction of kitchen)
Daughters of Charity (Doc) engaged in the provision of new houses, repair of old ones and occasional financial help with householders threatened with eviction. DoC provide houses for poor women-headed households and people with various disabilities and chronic health problems in Mekelle City, Maichew town and in Irob District. DoC provides comprehensive services that promote the integral development of human beings. Currently, the organization is engaged in social and development programs as well as emergency interventions.
DoC is dedicated to safe Procurement and programming. Thus, DoC has a zero-tolerance policy on misconduct with the aims and objectives of the organization, including theft, fraud, corruption or abuse of power/authority, sexual harassment (SH), sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), and discrimination. DoC also adheres to strict safeguarding principles and core humanitarian standards. Therefore, all selected suppliers will be expected to adhere to these standards and principles. DoC also strictly follows child protection policy such as not to engage below 18 years old children in labor work.
Now, DoC desires to construct kitchen in 159 schools of 11 weredas.
Our selection criterion is lowest Price without compromise quality of the work after fulfilling the primarily required legal and potential assurance documents. However, due diligence is also going to be conducted after the opening of the bid. Therefore. All level contractors of GC/BC fulfilling the following criteria are invited for the bid.
1. Bid document can be taken by eligible bidders upon nonpayment from: Daughters of Charity coordinating office, 1th floor, subcity of Adihaki behind Adihaki eye clinic
2. Bidders should submit their renewed license valid and renewed registration certificate, VAT, TIN and renewed licenses for General Construction or building construction Works for 2016 E.C/2017EC
3. Bidder shall provide mandatorily at least two (2) Certificates of satisfactory execution of related works (Letter testimony from authorized body)
4. The bidder shall submit professional documents of Qualified Staff to provide services related with this bid.
5. The bidders can not alter, amend or withdraw offers after tender is opened
6. Bidders should submit offers price as per the attached request for quotation.
7. Bidders should submit Bid security of 50,000 birr (birr fifty thousand) only in CPO
8. The winer contractor should deliver the completed work within 30 Calander days starting from the date of Sighet handover and the type of contract is Lump-sum payment
9. One bidder can only be a winer for one LOT. However, if one contractor wines more than one LOT, the winner contractor choses one LOT and the next winer should take the offer by the price quotation of the 1st winner.
10. Winner bidders are going to submit non-conditional contract security with a value of 10 % of the total cost of the contract.
11. Bidders should know that no advance payment is going to be provided by DOC and the contractor will finish the whole work with his or her own capital (payment will be made after the whole work is accomplished)
12. The winner should complete after site hand over within 30 Days.
13. Bidders must be delivered their bid documents to the address Daughters of Charity coordinating office sub city of Adihaki behind Adihaki eye clinic first floor in the prepared tender box, from September 18, 2024 up to Oct. 01, 2024.
14. Bid clothing date is Oct. 01, 2024. at 8:30 local time
15. late bids will be rejected and Bids will be opened physically on Oct. 01, 2024 at 9:00 local time preferably in the presence of the bidders or representatives who choose to attend in person at the address above.
16. The bid validity date is 45 days after opening of the bid.
17. DoC Tigray coordination Office, reserves the right to partially or fully cancel /reject any or all of the bids.
