PURPOSE OF THE POST:
Accountable for formulation, design, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of WASH programme (both at rural and urban level) to ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness of the programme management, delivery and accomplishment of programme goals and objectives.
Support identification of gender inequalities and implement programmes to eliminated inequalities.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POST INCLUDE:
Within the delegated authority and under the given organizational set-up, the incumbent may be assigned the primarily, shared, or contributory accountabilities for all or part of the following areas of major duties and key end-results.
1. Provides high level Policy technical support to senior government officials from the 4 Government sectors involved in the ONEWASH Sector Wide Approach (Water, Health, Education and Finance Ministries) at the federal and regional levels, parastatal organizations, and non-government organizations at all stages of the programme cooperation, including capacity building of government personnel and beneficiaries. Specific focus on Multi-stakeholder Forum (MSF) and Sanitation and Water for All (SWA) commitments as well as in supporting the development of relevant policies for urban WaSH (cost recovery of water supply infrastructures, Delegated Management Framework, Urban sanitation policies)
2. Represent UNICEF at key sectoral forum and Water Technical Working Group, National Level Task Force, ONEWASH Consolidated WASH Account pool fund and sectoral reviews as needed. Act Section deputy and OIC as needed.
3. Monitoring and evaluation of programme performance is properly undertaken for adjustment, acceleration and improvement of program delivery, capitalizing on joint global monitoring and evaluation frameworks such as the WHO/UNICEF Joint Monitoring Programme, the National WASH inventory, DHS, and academic institutions. Gender/sex disaggregated data and inputs relevant to the WASH programme provided.
4. Ensure exchange of information, experience, identify new strategies and courses of action to accelerate/improve delivery of services and achieve WASH programme requirements and objectives. Conduct field visits to monitor programmes and collect information. Conduct periodic programme reviews with Government counterparts and other partners
5. Undertakes field visits, and surveys in order to monitor and evaluate project implementation. Identifies problems and proposes remedial action. Identifies alternative courses of action, to accelerate/improve programme delivery.

Under the general supervision of Sr. Administrative Assistant, the incumbent performs a variety of relatively complex clerical duties related to the administration of the office.
Major Duties and Responsibilities of this post include:
- Searches office files and records relating to a variety of topics for information and reference. Selects information and records in specified format, or on the basis of general instructions for use by others in preparing reports, correspondence, technical papers, project or programme plans and general reference documents.
- Supports in property management of administrative supplies, office equipment, and other office properties and ensures that services and maintenance of premises and office equipment are in accordance with organizational standards & timely renewal/servicing/replenishment of office computer equipment, furniture, safety/security equipment and other sensitive UNICEF properties.
- Drafts correspondence, memoranda and reports via oral instructions, previous correspondence or other available information sources, in accordance with standard office procedures.
- Classifies and codes material relating to a number of subject matter areas, and maintains general office files or provides guidance to the registry clerk in performing this duty. Ensures file archiving system is in place and done as per UNICEF policy and Procedures. Retrieves documents as and when required.
- Arranges meetings, both internal and external, some involving high-ranking officials, and takes minutes and/or notes at meetings. Organizes secretariat and related facilities for meetings/conferences/trainings as and when required. In coordination with protocol team, provides advice and assists staff members / guests by processing requests for visas.
- Ensures timely settlement of service contracts, low–value items and petty cash management.
- Liaises with Supply & Logistics unit and makes arrangements for shipment and receipt of office and project supplies and equipment, and household effects, including customs clearance as needed.
- Responds to queries relating to the area of responsibility. Making sure effective working relations are maintained with other agencies, local authorities and implementing partners.
- Operates various office equipment such as typewriters, word processors and other similar keyboard equipment, as required.

Purpose of the post
Under the supervision of UNICEF Nutrition Specialist based at Federal Emergency Nutrition Coordination Unit (FENCU) within the DRMFSS, the incumbent supports the Federal ENCU on coordination of emergency nutrition assessments, responses and monitoring
Major Duties and Responsibilities of this post include:
1 Support rreviewing the emergency and bi-annual survey proposals and reports as per existing emergency nutrition assessment guidelines.
2 Provide technical support to the regional ENCU’s in preparation of the bi-annual survey data analysis and reports
3 Conduct field visits as required to monitor and provide technical support to partners on the implementation of emergency nutrition activities.
4 Support in analysing the evolving nutrition situation at national and regional levels and recommend appropriate actions to be undertaken.
5 Contribute to preparation of the nutrition situation updates/bulletins at national level on monthly basis
6 Follow up with the regional ENCUs on the timely update of the nutrition situation monitoring matrix, clarify/review the information before it is shared with the DRMFSS and partners.
7 Provide technical support in conducting training and other capacity building activities on emergency nutrition assessment, response and coordination organised by the federal and/or regional ENCUs
8 Perform any other duties that you may be assigned by the supervisor.

- Ten final versions of reviewed and edited bi-annual survey proposals
