Millennium DPI PartnersVacancy AnnouncementPosition: Legal Education & Legal Aid Senior Expert General Description of Position:• The Legal Education and Legal Aid Senior Expert (hereafter the “Employee”) will support and coordinate Feteh’s legal education and legal aid related activities. S/he will be responsible for liaising between Feteh and the Ethiopian institutions involved in Legal Education and Legal Aid in the planning and follow up of all related project activities.Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:The Employee will undertake work in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for Millennium DPI in support of the Feteh Activity pursuant to MDPI’s contract with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) and reporting jointly to the Chief of Party (COP) and DCOP, the Employee shall assume the following specific responsibilities for the length of his/her employment with Millennium DPI:• Support legal academic institutions in conducting research to promote law reform advocacy;• Support the establishment and operation of the National Association of Law Schools to enhance standardization of legal education and strengthen legal aid centers improving access to justice;• Support and organize conferences on rule of law and access to justice;• Support and follow-up any other activities aimed at ensuring quality of legal education. promotion of practical skills and training of law students;• Support the publication of research works in support of legal reform, legal aid and legal education reform initiatives;• Coordinate with relevant counterparts in organizing and conducting public consultations, workshops, training programs, etc.;• Participate in the development of terms of reference, scopes of work, memoranda of understanding, manuals, and other technical documents;• Support local and international consultants engaged by Feteh;• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with partners and stakeholders and nurture effective strategic partnerships to identify changes in priorities, new reform initiatives and strategies to effectively implement Feteh’s activities;• Collaborate with the Communications and Public Outreach Coordinator in gathering information for Feteh’s social media and in drafting Feteh’s success stories;• Read and understand clearly Feteh’s work plan and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Plan, and work closely with the MEL Coordinator to ensure that all legal education and legal aid activities are carefully measured and clearly communicated to USAID;• Be ultimately responsible for the success of Feteh in executing all legal education and legal aid activities in each annual work plan;• Actively participate in meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of annual work plans and decisions by the management to achieve the objectives of the Activity;• Produce written material on a monthly basis or on request of the COP/DCOP to ensure that Feteh’s quarterly and annual reports contain a clear description of all details of legal education and legal aid activities with the Ethiopian institutions;• Manage and coordinate any staff under his/her supervision;• Perform other duties as assigned by the COP/DCOP.

Millennium DPI PartnersVacancy AnnouncementPosition: Democratic Institutions Support Senior Expert General Description of the Position:• The Democratic Institutions Support Senior Expert (hereafter the “Employee”) will be Feteh’s focal person for all project activities regarding the protection and promotion of human rights in Ethiopia. S/he will be responsible for liaising between Feteh and national partners such as the Human Rights Commission (HRC), the Ethiopian Institution of the Ombudsman (EIO) and others in the planning and follow up of all project activities supporting these institutions.Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:The Employee will undertake work in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for Millennium DPI in support of the Feteh Activity pursuant to MDPI’s contract with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Millennium DPI PartnersVacancy AnnouncementPosition: Regional Coordinator General Description of Position:• The Regional Coordinator (hereafter the “Employee”) will be in charge of coordinating Feteh’s support activities to Regional Attorney General’s Offices and Regional Supreme Courts in liaison with Feteh’s regional offices.Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:The Employee will undertake work based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for Millennium DPI in support of the Feteh Activity pursuant to MDPI’s contract with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
