The Agricultural Transformation Agency (ATA) has been established by the Government of Ethiopia (GoE) to identify and address systemic bottlenecks to Ethiopia's agricultural development. The Agency does this through problem-solving, implementation support, and capacity building of stakeholders involved in implementation of interventions that address the systemic bottlenecks.
ATA develops and initiates different projects as part of agricultural intervention focused on supporting the small holder farmer. It is with this goal in mind that this project was initiated. The projects focus on building different agricultural commercial cluster (ACC) initiative on selected sites across zones located in the above four regions.
Therefore, the main aim of this service is to look and hire for consultant's grade as Grade 5 and above consulting firms at regional based and region-registered potential consultant capable of construction supervision, contract administration and engineering design for various projects.
The specific objective of the assignment includes Handover and Preparation of working drawings, Review of Contractor(s)' Work Schedule, Super vision of Construction Works, Issue of Instructions to the Contractor(s),Advice to the Client on Progress of Works, Inspection and Testing of Works, Approval of Payment Certificates, Reporting Meeting, Delivery to the Client "As Built” Drawings & Design update in four regions /Oromia, Amhara, SNNPR and Tigray/
Scope of Service
The consultant will carry out the complete construction supervision and contract administration works along with architectural and engineering design update (as required during construction) services related to the project at regional level. The prospective consultants are advised to conduct site visit and find out other necessary details to meet the specific needs of the projects.
The service consists of two components. The main one is construction supervision with contract administration and the second one is design revision and drawing updates as required"
Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub consultancy to enhance their qualifications. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method set out in the Public Procurement Manual.
