Yergacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union Ltd (YCFCU)Vacancy AnnouncementPosition: Lead Coffee RoasterSalary: As per the company scaleBenefit• house allowance 20% of the gross salary and transport allowanceJob Description• The Lead Roaster is responsible for quality and efficiency in roasting and packing of coffee, as well as a key aid to the green coffee selection among the available stock. Scope of work starts at the cupping table, as a green coffee selection assistant, and ends as the roasted, packed coffee is handed off to relevant party.• The ability to collaborate, mentor and teach are prerequisites with working in tight spaces in perspective. This role will report to the Production Manager.Duties and Responsibilities:• The main responsibility is to ensure each store has the appropriate levels of roasted coffee• The Lead Roaster will be responsible for training all relevant staff on proper production operations, including roasting, stamping, heat sealing, weighing and shipping.• The Lead Roaster will be responsible for tracking and maintaining inventory levels of both green and roasted coffee as well as utilizing store staff to accomplish all roasting needs.• The Lead Roaster will manage the Roasting Schedule and ensure it is adhered to and updated with any changes.• The Lead Roaster will place green coffee orders to store manager for weekly delivery.• The Lead Roaster is expected to serve as a resource for all roasted coffee questions from customers, serving as an in-house expert.• The Lead Roaster will be responsible for roasting samples and hosting cuppings related to the green coffee buying program.• Running the coffee grinder to prepare the grind type the customer wants• Weighing the whole beans or ground coffee to package them in appropriate weight packages• Labeling the packages appropriately• Placing the orders in the appropriate places for final delivery to the customer• Perform other duties as required, such as cleaning the roaster before and after the roasting process and keeping the work area cleanHow to Apply• All interested applicants can submit their CV along all necessary documents with in 10 (Ten) working days in person• Address: Akaki kality Sub city around Kality Square behind CCRDA, Next to Oromia Water Works Construction Bruea, on the road of Hana MaryamYergacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union LtdTEL: 0114-71-70-19/18/17
