V. ESTABLISHMENT AND DESCRIPTION

Mums for Mums is a locally registered civil society organization, legally commissioned to be engaged in charity works and activities in Tigray, Ethiopia, in May 2001. It is premised on the fundamental idea of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls as its core guiding principle of its actions. It is one of the largest local nongovernmental organizations working in Ethiopia on various development and humanitarian works, focusing on ending poverty as well as social, political and economic injustice on women and girls. It envisions achieving its objective through comprehensive interventions in livelihoods, nutrition, health, education, social accountability, and emergency preparedness and response programs.

MISSION STATEMENT

Mums for Mums Mission is to help empower women and girls in Tigray through economic, social and political support programs in Health and Nutrition, Livelihood, Protection, Social Accountability, and Peace-building and Conflict Mitigation Strategies.

GOAL

Mums for Mums strives to achieve the overall goal of helping empower women and girls to help themselves and their family, to be self-reliant, and be healthy through political, social and economic support.

STRATEGIC PRIORITY

Over the next ten years, Mums for Mums strategic interest is to ensure that more women and girls, especially the most marginalized are empowered to exercise their human right, help themselves and their family..

IX. INTERVENTION PACKAGE

Mums for Mums works on a range of interventions. Its intervention package comprises set of multispectral interventions and match the needs of women and girls, the development needs of the regional government.

X. BID JUSTIFICATION

As such, Mums for Mums is currently running multiple projects partnering with several donors. In order to efficiently implement its programs and projects, Mums For Mums Wants to Sign contracts for supplier who can purchsse Different Materials. So it is looking for a competitive bidder who can purchase the Different Materials. So for those interested suppliers you can participate based on the following tender document structured as follows.

SECTION I-Bidders INSTRUCTIONS

All bidders must meet the minimum requirements below. O Valid Tax Clearance/TIN number

о Valid Business VAT (Value Added tax) Registration Certificate

о Renewal Trade License

о Bid pages must be pre-numbered and initialed

о Bids must be signed and stamped by authorized personnel

о Bids must be submitted in English/In Tigrigna

о Bid prices must be quoted in ETB and prices will remain valid for the three months the signed agreement.

о Bid submitted after the deadline will NOT be considered

о Electronic bids are NOT allowed

о Bidder can take the bid Document by Paying 200 birr።

SECTION 3-SPECIAL PROVISIONS

• Bidders are informed that upon the issuance of Contract Award Notification to the most responsive bidder a Purchase Order will be issued and payment will be made in accordance with Mums for Mums payments terms.

• Mums for Mums reserves the right to request additional information from prospective bidders and reject any or all bids that do not meet its minimum requirements without any liability, or when considered to be in the best interest of the agency people it serves.

• MUMS FOR MUMS have right to reject the bid partially or the whole bid if we have other option.
