Plan International is a rights-based development and humanitarian organization working for better lives for all children. We are independent of government and have no political or religious affiliation. Our purpose is to strive for a just world that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We have been building powerful partnerships for children for more than 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.

Our global strategy has a specific focus on girls, as they are often the most marginalized and most often left behind. We have committed ourselves to the ambitious target of reaching 100 million girls over 5 years, to ensure they can learn, lead, decide, and thrive. This is our contribution to reaching the sustainable development goals and in particular the goals on gender equality. Our organization is transforming itself to meet an enormous challenge everywhere we work. We need bold, forward-thinking, and innovative individuals to lead our country's operations, driving change and delivering results that will allow us to reach our target of 100 million girls.

Plan International’s programs in Ethiopia focus on Child Protection, Education, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Food and Economic Security, Healthy Village Programs, Humanitarian Response and Resilience Building that we implement in Tigray, Amhara, Oromia, Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ (SNNP), Gambella, Afar and Benishangul-Gumuz Regional States and Addis Ababa City Administration. Common to these, issues of gender and disability are also integrated and mainstreamed in all programs.

Plan International Ethiopia, Tigray Program area (PIE-Tigray-PA) wants to invite all interested and eligible contractors to participate in the following construction & rehabilitation of sex-segregated permanent vip-latrines with hand wash facilities, construction of MHM rooms, wash systems and water supply line in Tigray Region, Emba Alaje Woreda with the financial support of Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands (EKN) for Healthy Village Project in Tigray Regional State as described in the below table.
