1.  The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the world Bank toward the cost of the urban water supply and sanitation project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for procurement of Bulk Flow water meters,
2.  The Mekelle Water supply Services office now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for procurement of Bulk Waters supply Meters
3.  Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the world Bank’s  Guidelines; Procurement of Goods, Works and Non –consulting services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants by World Bank Borrowers, World Bank Guidelines for the procurement of Goods , Works and Non-Consulting Services, January 2011 Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the procurement guidelines . In addition , please refer to paragraphs 1,6 and 7 setting  forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest
4.  Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Mekelle City Water Supply Service office ;te_yid@yahoo.com  and inspect the bidding documents during office hours form Monday to Friday 8 :30 am to 12:30 pm Morning & 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm afternoon at the address given below paragraph 8.
5.  A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 300(three hundred birr). The method of payment will be cash. The document will be sent by the respective of the bidder. Local bidders are required to attach with their application, a copy of their renewed trade licenses , VAT certificate and Tax Identification Number Certificate
6.  Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 25 January, 2016 at 3:00 pm. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders ‘ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on 25 January 2016 at 3:30 PM
7.  Bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” of Birr 100,000(one hundred thousand) ETB or and equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
