Development Bank of EthiopiaVacancy AnnouncementPosition: Deputy CEOThe Deputy CEO shall have the following duties and responsibilities;• Develop strategic plan in collaboration with the General Manger by studying the technological, financial and business opportunities of the project/enterprise;• Plan, direct , organize, coordinate, supervise, the overall and day-to day activities of the factory to attain the results set up in the strategic and operational plans;• Takeover and safeguard the assets of the factory, and also ensure that all assets of the factory, including those stocks in transit, are insured against potential risks;• Establish a precise and transparent management information system and infrastructure;• Represent the factory before any third party physically or through delegates, in the absence of the General Manager and/or wherever is necessary,• Represent, negotiate, sign and receive all necessary documents before the government agencies or public organizations, private organizations administrative agencies or in telecommunication Corporation and the like in the absence of the General Manager and/or wherever is necessary,• Establish and maintain harmonious relationship with the general manager, customers, suppliers, competitors, factory management team and employees, DBE & its staff, stakeholders and the general public;• Uphold the principles and practices of competitive pricing decision both in case of sell and purchase actions;• Ensure full transparency on financial and production related matters, and also submit and present periodic performance reports, financial statements regularly;• Source potential buyers, execute customer orders as per the terms, conditions and within the deadline agreed upon;• Implement agreed upon improvement measures initiated by the advisory Board of the factory addressing factory related issues;• Ensure legal matters filed against the factory are well attended and the same is communicated to the bank, without fail;• Get the book of the factory audited by external auditor , appointed by the Advisory Board;• Identify, implement and monitor short and long term plans to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness of the project;• Initiate business development and investment strategy whenever requested;• Ensure a quality circle approach in management of all your overheads cost.• Ensure maximum collaboration/cross-fertilization to achieve best practices in all departments and production unit of the vertically integrated factory• Prepare production grid and achieve figures on the factory grid• Provide daily, weekly and monthly manufacturing reports (as agreed with the GM) and ensure reliable systems in place to report these figures.• Ensure all visual boards operate 100% correctly and involve supervisors and operators.• Complete job objectives for all your direct subordinates.• Lead by passion and put energy to drive people and ensure that they have high sense of accountability.• Ensure “triangular” approach is applied with functional manager – daily /weekly & monthly routine meetings with minutes.• Ensure that Staff and Workers are closely monitored by the section officer/Manager/Supervisor.• Execute other assignments, decisions and guidance given by the Bank or the Advisory Board; and perform other duties as maybe arisen from time to time and as maybe assigned by the General Manager.- Duty station: Sebeta city administration, Alemgena where the textile factory is located,- Salary & Benefits: Negotiable with different benefit packages- Terms of Employment: One year with possibility of extension of contract How to Apply• Interested applicants who meet the requirements are invited to send their application letters, a non - returnable CV, copies of educational credentials and other supporting documents, naming at least two references and their contact address, until November 23, 2019 to Development Bank of Ethiopia, Human Resource Management Directorate, HR Planning & Recruitment Team in person.

Education and Experience
For Textile projects;
• MSC/BSC degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Industrial/ Textile Engineering and 10/12 years’ experience preferably in textile sector of which 5 years as a General Manager, deputy CEO or at senior managerial position; or
• MA/BA degree in Business Management/ Finance /Accounting /Marketing or related and 12/15 years experience in textile sector of which 5 years as a General Manager, deputy CEO or at senior managerial position.

• Open minded , innovative and dynamic professional, commands and good understanding of the challenges and opportunities the respective sub-sectors i.e textile;
• Proven track records in managing such projects;
• Knowledgeable in machinery Maintenance and Process management;
• Experience in international sales handling and foreign marketing is an advantage :
• Energetic, strong leadership, negotiation and problem solving skill;
• Candidates with more solid managerial or top level experiences will be considered for the post of the deputy CEO.
