Educational Requirements
Bachelor's
Desired Skills
- Qualifications: BSc. in Livestock/Animal Sciences and other related fields
- Experience: 5 years of relevant experience on livestock management and rural livelihood
- Experience of project management and report writing
- Desirable: NGO experience and Practical experience on equine welfare management

Skills and ability:
- Knowledge of animal welfare issues
- Animal handling skills, particularly equine
- Evaluation and assessment skills
- The ability to research and innovative idea generation
- Ability to establish credibility and maintain a supportive relationship with SACE staffs and stakeholders
- Ability of planning, organizing and conducting training and workshop at different level
- Ability to implement project activities with a result based approach
- ability to use self-initiative and work with minimum supervision
- very good skill of written and oral presentation
- very good command of written and spoken English and Amharic

Personal qualities:
- Able to identify, analyze and solve problems,
- work in a team environment
- integrate livestock development information and interventions for sustainable development
- Have basic computer skills, committed to working with the rural poor and willing to work under pressure
