Selam Children's VillageVacancy Announcement Position: Project Coordinator Job Description• The Project Coordinator, under direct supervision of Selam TVET Dean is fully responsible for successful implementation of the PASEWAY project. The project Coordinator is responsible to achieve the specific results of the project in proper quality and time. She/he works under supervision of Selam TVET Dean and with close cooperation with Planning and Communications, HR, Finance and other departments of the organization.• The project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall management and successful implementation of the project. This will include managing the entire components of the project and required deliverables/outcomes, ensuring both technical and management requirements are met, and managing relevant government and donor liaison requirements.• The project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the key organizational principles and approaches, such as sound M&E system and gender mainstreaming, etc., are well integrated thorough out the project cycle; for ensuring that lessons derived through implementation of projects are well articulated, documented and disseminated both internally and externally.• The project coordinator will exert 100% of her/his time for PASEWAY project.Key tasks:• In coordination and consultation with the Selam leadership as well as in line with the government’s agreement, prepare projects annual plan and ensure the proper implementation of the project.• Enhance and strengthen a joint planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation with stakeholders.• Make sure that project is implemented as per the project document, time plan and other relevant documents.• Make sure that the implemented activities are coordinated with partners.• Establish participatory monitoring and evaluation system for effective, efficient and quality project implementation.• Collect good quality monitoring data in a timely manner; organize data received for reporting and learning purposes.• Produce quality organizational reports as per the donor and partners requirements.• Document best practices, success stories and lessons learned.• Establish sound networking and sense of cooperation with concerned government bodies at all levels.• Actively take part on the overall program planning & strategic development of Selam Children’s Village as required.• Attend and actively participate on monthly and quarterly meetings as required.• Assume any other responsibilities relevant to the position as assigned by the supervisor and SCV Head Office.Main responsibilities:• Ensure the implementation of the project is done in accordance with the terms and conditions specified by the donor;• Provide support to the TVET Dean and Corporate Planning and Communications Office in all aspects of implementing PASEWAY Project;• Coordinate and facilitate fair selection of beneficiaries and ensure entire satisfaction of them on the support;• Establish and/or maintain good working relationship with the local administrations (Sub-cities and Weredas), TVET Bureau, other TVET Colleges, Industries or Companies, and other partners;• Ensure implementation maintaining quality and consistency of technical standards and norms of TVET trainings;• Successful implementation of all stages of the project’s cycle, including M&E, budget and procurement management;• Adhering to SCV, government and donor’s policies;• Quality and timely reporting;• Conduct regular monitoring visits in project implementation areas;• Ensure an excellent working relationship with partners including private sector, donor, local government and communities.Networking• Network and liaise with stakeholders to ensure the smooth implementation of the project;• Establish partnerships and networks with NGOs, government bodies, forums and CBOs for cross learning, identification of lessons learned, best practices, resources mobilization and scaling-up to enhance project initiatives;• Participation in relevant meetings and networks national level;• Ensure all relevant authorities are included in the planning, implementation and monitoring of project activities as appropriate;• Network effectively with relevant stakeholders to draw information and knowledge for the development of project inputs and strategy development;• Establish deep and meaningful partnerships with the private sector to enhance youth’s experience of work.How to Apply• Interested applicants for the position should summit their original document with non-returnable copies of credentials and in person until July 25, 2019 from the date of this announcement to selam children village head office (HR and Administration Department) located in Kotebe area ,near Hanna Mariam Church. Job Requirement
• MA or BA degree in Project Management, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Monitoring and Evaluation or other related field;
• Minimum of 8 years and 10 years of experience respectively for MA and BA;
• Experience in managing Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship projects;
• Experience in TVET sector, incubation center and value chain analysis/management is an asset;
• Proven experience in project management with PCM, ability to meet deadlines;
• Experience in managing teams, strong coordination skills;
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English;
• 3 strong references (will be considered).
