British Council Ethiopia Vacancy Announcement Position Title: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer- Duty Station: Addis Ababa- Terms of contract: Fixed Term Contract (3 years)Brief description of the role:• Results and impact data that is credible, accurate and timely than can be disaggregated in a variety of ways to meet Programme, British Council and DFID requirements.• Support to regional hubs and downstream partners in the development and use of M&E I evidence gathering systems and tools• Systematic collection and reporting of robust KPI achievement evidence• Contribution to impact, results and value for money narratives for monthly, quarterly and annual client reporting cycles• The management of external I independent monitoring and evaluation exercises and annual performance reviews• The delivery of agreed MEL capacity building and monitoring initiatives• The production of user guidance and other support materials to be used as reference points for staff and partners• Devise and implement systems to safeguard programme data quality in both Addis and the regional hubs through appropriate system oversight, storage, back up and access control, according to the required corporate and statutory standards, particularly Information Management Policy, Data Protection Policy.• The production of engaging presentations, impact narratives and other MEL outputs• Maintenance of CSSP2 online presence as agreed• Support to the evaluation of project proposals in respect of MEL planning and implementation
Educational Requirements

Required qualifications and experience:
• A first degree or equivalent professional experience in social science, organizational development, MEL or similar
• A postgraduate degree in the area of social science, political science, organisational development, MEL or similar subject
• At least three years’ experience in a similar role working in the NGO or donor funded context
• Fluency in English (C1 or IELTS 6.5 or equivalent), Amharic and/or a language spoken and used in one of the regional states of the country
