Job Requirement:
• PhD degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, automotive), agriculture (irrigation, soil and water conservation, agricultural economics, animal & crop production), economics, environmental science, or a related field; at least 4 (four) years of relevant, progressively responsible experience in university or research institution-level teaching, research and programme development; OR MSc degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, automotive), agriculture (irrigation, soil and water conservation, agricultural economics, animal & crop production), economics, environmental science, or a related field; at least 7 (seven) years of relevant, progressively responsible experience in university or research institution-level teaching, research and programme development;
• Strong track record in leadership and management of academic programmes, research projects/research background, with proven academic achievements in relevant fields and an excellent publication record;
• Demonstrated ability & experience in the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of training and research programmes, as well as publication and dissemination of research findings;
• Ability to work harmoniously in a multicultural environment and should be demonstrated, and proven sensitivity to gender issues;
• English fluency is essential, and so is computer literacy; excellent skills in writing and editing manuscripts, and being multi-lingual is an advantage;
• Experience in organizing scientific meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences; and
• Applications from suitably qualified women candidates are particularly encouraged.
