Addis Continental Institute of Public Health (ACIPH)Vacancy AnnouncementPosition: Malaria Surveillance OfficerJob Description• Provide technical assistance in strengthening malaria surveillance system in selected Woredas in Oromia, Somali, Afar, Harari regions and in Dire Dawa City Administration, Ethiopia.• Conduct regular supportive supervision of Woreda health office, health centers and health posts. Supervisions shall be conducted jointly with Regional Health Bureaus, Zonal Health Desk and Woreda Health Offices.• Closely work with the Woreda Health offices in organizing quarterly review meetings related to malaria surveillance.• Make inventory of registry formats being used at health facilities and distribute when necessary.Duty Station: Addis Ababa with frequent (60%) field visitHow to Apply• Interested and qualified applicants can send application letter, curriculum vitae and copies of supporting documents via email: hraciph@gmail.com or can submit in person at ACIPH Head Office.• Closing Date: December 23, 2019 before 5:00 PM
Educational Requirements
Master's
Desired Skills
• Education: Master’s Degree in Public Health or in related fields.
• Work Experience: At least two years of experience on malaria or related program management. Experience in the field of malaria surveillance is an asset.

Skills required:
• Good oral and writing skill in English as well as in Affan Oromo languages is mandatory.
• Computer literate; Ability in basic computer skills in MS-Office applications.
• Excellent communication skill to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
