Project Title: GGP, DoC Coordinating & ICSP Protection

Title: Purchase of Food item, Stationary, Sanitary, Furniture, Textile, Fibers & Yarns, Printing Service 


Daughters of Charity (Doc) engaged in the provision of new houses, repair of old ones and occasional financial help with householders threatened with eviction. DoC provide houses for poor women-headed households and people with various disabilities and chronic health problems in Mekelle City, Maichew town and in Irob District. DoC provides comprehensive services that promote the integral development of human beings. Currently, the organization is engaged in social and development programmes as well as emergency interventions.

DoC is dedicated to safe Procurement and programming. Thus, DoC has a zero-tolerance policy on misconduct with the aims and objectives of the organization, including theft, fraud, corruption or abuse of power/authority, sexual harassment (SH), sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), and discrimination. DoC also adheres to strict safeguarding principles and core humanitarian standards. Therefore, all selected suppliers will be expected to adhere to these standards and principles.

Now, DoC desires to purchase Food item, Stationary, Sanitary, Furniture, Textile, Fibers & Yarns, Printing Service

Our selection criteria is Lowest Price without compromise quality of the materials. Howe ever due diligence is also going to be conducted after the opening of the bid. Accordingly, all eligible bidders who can fulfill the following criteria are invited to participate in the bid.

1. Bid document can be taken by eligible bidders upon nonpayment from: Daughters of Charity coordinating office, Ground floor, subcity of Adihaki behind Adihaki eye clinic.

2. Bidders must obtain renewed valid trading license for the specified item (2016 E.C)

3. Bidders should provide TIN number, VAT certificate or TOT registration documents.

4. The bidders cannot alter, amend or withdraw offers after tender is opened

5. Bidders should submit offers price as per the attached request for quotation.

6. Bidders should submit Bid security of 20,000 birr (birr twenty thousand) together with the bid document to the bid box before bid clothing time & if the winner supplier remains unwilling to sign an agreement, the bid security will be deposited to DOC account.

7. Bidder should aware that before conducting an agreement due diligence is going to be conducted on the overall capability of a supplier.

8. The supplier should deliver the material within five consecutive days after notification of award and signing of agreement with contract security of 10% from the total price he/she wined

9. The supplier should deliver the materials to DoC coordinating office with his/her Owen transport

10. The materials should have at least 6 months Expiry date assurance for food items.

11. Bids must be delivered their bid documents to the address Daughters of Charity coordinating office subcity of Adihaki behind Adihaki eye clinic ground floor in the prepared tender box, from 26/01/2024 up to 01/02/2024.

12. Bid clothing date is 01/02/2024 at 9:00 local time afternoon

13. Late bids will be rejected And Bids will be opened physically on 01/02/2024 at 9:30 local time afternoon. Preferably in the presence of the bidders or representatives who choose to attend in person at the address above.

14. The Daughters of charity coordinating office reserves the right to reject partially or fully cancel or reject any or all of the bids.
