Help the creation and delivery of strategies and programs to achieve ATA’s overall goal and mission for agricultural transformation in Ethiopia• Provide high quality, results-focused stakeholder management, and build a genuinely collaborative engagement with key Federal, Regional, Private Sector, Non-Profit and Bilateral partners in the delivery of priority sector objectives• Working with key soils stakeholders across both public and non-public sectors, lead the development and implementation of diagnostic activities, strategies, policies, and solution design by the Soil Health and Fertility Knowledge Center.• Provide guidance, high caliber technical support and oversee design and/or implementation of ATA implemented projects in the soils sub-sector.• Manage talent development of existing staff, hire new staff as necessary and manage team dynamics of the Soil Health and Fertility Program team to ensure a high-performance team• Ensure that the Soil Health and Fertility program team provides enough Ning of soils related activities within the ACC Initiative• Provide technical and operational support in the execution of the ACC Initiative, with a focus on soil health and fertility issues• Prepare and manage the Program’s budget; obtain approvals from senior level ATA management and monitor budget utilization against allocation• Contribute to the development of an institutionalized knowledge base for the ATA• Regularly report to the Senior Director of Crops and NRM, and to the CEO on progress, challenges and constraints of the program team activities.• Undertake any additional assignments as requested by the Senior Director of Crops and NRM or the CEO.

The major duties of the technical expert include, but not limited to, the following:• Support the design of concrete implementation plan with clear activities, milestones and targets in collaboration with BoAs and development partners.• Coordinate with regional BoAs in the identification of direct seed marketing agents based on pre-defined criterion.• Support the development and review of modules to be used for training relevant stakeholders such as producers, seed marketing agents, farmers, woreda experts, DAs , etc.• Organize workshops, training sessions, and capacity building programs for relevant stakeholders such as producers, seed marketing agents, farmers, etc.• Coordinate with external partners and ATA teams in co-launching Input Tracking system (ITS) and Input Credit through voucher system.• Evaluate and monitor the overall progress of the DSM annual performance in the region.• Document and report project progress and associated risks to the project team leader and external partners (MoA, BoAs and development partners) .• Integration with related external projects/ program: liaise with external development partners and ensure effective integration of DSM project with other related programs e.g. CBSP, AOSS, IVS, etc.• Provide ad hoc support to Inputs program and Regional ACC team as required on issues relating to core organizational development, prioritization of interventions, problem solving, planning.
