Mekelle Universty Agricultural Model intercomparison and Improvement Project (AgMIp) would like to recruit one socioeconomic modeler for three month on competitive basis. This vacancy could be renewable depending on the volume of work and performance. The socioeconomic modeler will handel socioeconmic modeling component in the country and will report to the national AgMIp team leader.

Duties and responsibilities

• asses the present food security condition for selected sites in the country

• Assess and quantify the economic and social aspects of future crop production base on future technology

• Conduct Vulnerability analysis across many sites based on 20 GCM and muti crop models

• Comprehensive report writing 

Experiences and requirement

• MSc degree in economics agricultural economics, Climate and society

• Excellent economic Modeling experience especially in use of TOA MD

• Age limit is 40 years

• Preferably experience project or international experience
