Description | Commercial Bank of EthiopiaVacancy AnnouncementPosition: Vice President - Banking Operation Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:• Guide and coordinate department Directors within the Bank Operations division to effectively provide all back-office services.• Work closely with Operations team for annual plan development, implementation, and quality control;• Develop and propose operations strategy to the COO;• Analyze needs, assess capacities, and propose to the operations committee enhancements to the operations area;• Continuously assess the operations division work and propose changes and enhancements to improve the results;• Set management team objectives, goals, and performance standards in collaboration with other divisions (e.g. Banking services) and facilitate team’s alignment and cascading;• Support cash management practices;• Support quality assurance in the operations arena;• Synchronize the work and communicate constraints and problems with the COO;• Evaluate and measure direct reports’ performance and take appropriate actions• Review and consolidate division budget;• Responsible for management and maintenance of all bank back-office operations (technical features, procedures, operational manuals and workflows);• Perform annual assessments of all operational work practices and propose improvements where necessary;• Support the work of bank committees;• Keep the COO regularly informed of new trends and developments in the operations discipline;• Provide follow-up on audit report findings related to the division work; and Analyze needs, assess the capacities of staff, and propose continuous education (e.g. training plan, ToT, seminars).- Salary and Benefits: As per the Bank’s salary scale and benefits packages- Term of Employment: Permanent |
