Description | The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, is inviting applicants for the above position. Purpose of the post Accountable for formulation, design, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of Rural WASH programme to ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness of the programme management, delivery and accomplishment of programme goals and objectives. Support identification of gender inequalities and implement programmes to eliminated inequalities Major Duties and Responsibilities; Within the delegated authority and under the given organizational set-up, the incumbent may be assigned the primarily, shared, or contributory accountabilities for all or part of the following areas of major duties and key end-results.

How to apply | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education requirements: Advanced university degree* in one of the disciplines relevant to the following areas: Public Health, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, Hydrology, Sanitation Engineering, or a field relevant to international WASH related development assistance. Additional training in Health Education or Communication for Development (Programme Communication), an asset. *A first level university degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree Work Experience: 8 years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the UN or other international development organization, national government or the private sector. Field work experience. Background/familiarity with Emergency (preparedness and response) and the IASC Cluster approach. Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and in the local working language of the duty station required. Nationality: Candidates should be NATIONALS of Ethiopia.
