Internal /External Vacancy Announcement

We are  looking for a qualified candidates to fill up the following vacant position at shire 

Education Background & Works Experience

• High School graduate
• Valid 3^rd grade driving license
• 3 years’ work experience in a similar function with good record
• Basic mechanical skills
• Good geographical knowledge of the pace of assignment and region
• Knowledge of driving 4/4 and VHF use is an asset
• Good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of local language (Tigrigna) is a must 

Main Tasks

• Transports ICRC staff and goods to designated destination within the region and country
• Check the condition and accessories of the assigned vehicle before, during and after  each trip; promptly report and delays   due to breakdowns, Weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies , or in the event of irregularities relating to pick up or delivery
• Maintains the service and appearances / cleanliness of the vehicle assigned  
• Report all road accidents and incidents immediately ; Ensures proper handling of procedure for road accidents as per the Ethiopian Traffic Law.
• Ensures proper use and follow up of the logbook and fuel before and after the use of the vehicle.
• Assists other team member in the filed (i.e, loading , unloading of vehicle, translation, and other duties upon request)

Base  Station :    Shire   with frequent travel with the region.

• Salary    :   As per the scale of the organization
